Growing Long Hair

For a great deal of my life I lived with very short hair, similar to Halle Berry and Nia Long.
I'm not sure why I loved this style on me, knowing that the maintenance was INTENSE, but I absolutely loved myself at this length!
(I mean I love myself at every length, but you know what I mean)
So now that I am almost 3 years natural and have hair to my back its kinda like,
"OMG black girls really can grown long hair."
And the cool thing is over the past 3 years I have had almost 10 inches cut off of my hair, due to modeling in someones show and due to split ends. So looking at the length of my hair in this photo, imagine +10 inches, amazing amazing amazing.
I must admit, I have no idea what to do with my hair some days, especially when its blown out.

To go from Halle Berry length to this is like ummmm what...like a culture shock.
At times when my hair is straight I find myself googling what to do with my hair, trying for long periods of time to figure out how to wrap my hair, pin curls and what to do when its hot outside to prevent my hair looking all funny.

Now don't get me wrong I'm not complaining that my hair is growing, just talking about my hair journey and how everyday is a new day with whats growing out of my scalp.
For over 3 years I thought that I needed to mold myself into the typical bloggers/YouTuber, with lots of product review, understanding all the techniques for styling and ingredients, but I believe I am beginning to come to terms with just enjoying my journey and still learning about the hair on  my head.

So to those of you whom have been following my blog for a while, you know that I just jump on here and be myself...and I advise that you do the same and also enjoy your journey. Your hair journey may be nothing like mine or anyone else on Social Media, but just enjoy your own journey, learn about your hair and as it grows appreciate each stage...or one day you'll end up with a back full of hair and be 30 seconds from the Big Chop......
