Yesterday I was trying to figure out what to cook for dinner. 
I had two chicken breasts, spaghetti, heavy cream and parmesan cheese. 
I am on a quest to lose weight, so I didn't want to over do any heavy cooking or over-eating, 
but I didn't have anything else in the house to cook. So I baked my chicken breast, poking wholes in them with onion roommate taught me this...makes a big difference. 
Cooked my spaghetti, and then created an Alfredo Sauce with a recipe I found online. 
Today I am steaming broccoli and adding it to my pasta. Remember you can eat great food, just watch 
HOW MUCH you eat, and add some good veggies to it too. It turned out pretty good, but I would suggest a little more garlic and some additional herbs!!
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 1/2 cups freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley


  1. Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium low heat. Add cream and simmer for 5 minutes, then add garlic and cheese and whisk quickly, heating through. Stir in parsley and serve.
