Cantu Shea Butter Twist Out

Recently, a Facebook friend of mine Kinkycurlycoil posted pictures of her beautiful Twist Out using Castor Oil and Cantu Shea Butter. I wasn't sure if I was willing to try it out, because the Cantu isn't 100% Shea Butter by any means and because I hadn't used that product since I transitioned two years ago...but I figured....ehh why not! LOL
Also, this is the perfect time to share that "ALL HAIR IS NOT CREATED THE SAME." If you take a look at my photo and then at KCC you will notice we used the exact same products, but our hair turned out very different. So I want to encourage you all that even if you try some of the products that I use on  my hair and your hair doesn't turn out like mine....don't give up or get discouraged....Rock what you've got..PERIOD.
My hair has lots of shrinkage every time I style it, but I love my hair, so you will have just have to embrace what you were given by the Lawd (Lord).
This can be purchased at Wal-Mart for $5
And this I purchased at the Whole Foods store....I think it was about $8, but a little goes along way.
I just washed my hair like normal, applied Castor Oil all throughout my hair and scalp, applied Cantu immediately after as my Leave-in and as my styling product. I put my hair into four sections and on each twist I applied more of the Cantu product. I always comb/brush the product throughout my hair; 1) so that I comb my hair once a week and 2) so that each strand gets a dose of the products I'm using.

After twisting, I just tied my hair up and went to sleep. My hair typically takes forever to dry and this was the case today too, so I just let it air dry for about 16 hours and it STILL wasn't dry all the way...
but I was NOT sitting under a dryer....but ladies if need be...sit under a dryer or you may ruin the style..
as I do often.
I must say that I am very pleased with the results and surprised. The results remind me of when I use a curling creme and curling gel...but this was just Cantu Shea Butter. My hair is very soft, and touchable. My curls are very defined and surprisingly the morning after my curls are still very defined without a lot of frizz....
I think you all should definitely try this, especially because its a very inexpensive product and an easy style to do. If you all have any products you recommend, or videos to try styles.....hook a sistah up.
