Light Skin...Dark Skin...A Man's Perspective

Growing up, I was exposed to a lot “different” culture, From Mississippi to Cali, and Hawaii to VA. I’ve seen it all from bald woman to short cut women to long hair women and in addition to these styles on dark skinned, light skinned, white, caramel skinned complexion woman. Since child hood my dad always told me to “bring em home son.” He wasn’t racist or prejudice against no culture, no race, no background, but he just preferred dark skinned woman. In doing so he encouraged me to do the same, but in my experiences I pulled more along the side of light skinned, long or medium short hair styles. Yes I have dated dark skinned and even Puerto Rican, but it was something about light skinned woman I was very attracted to. My dad made jokes about women and my mom and him stayed in debates regarding relationships. He always said, “good luck with that one,” I asked why he said dark skinned women always had drama, and light skinned women always had a short temper, but in my experiences it seemed like they both had drama and short temper. ‘
So woman can where short short hair styles, some women are more attractive with long hair styles and some women just maintain with what they have, but do a good job in the creativity with the weave.
Natural wasn’t a big thing for because it isn’t popular.
I have always been picky when it came to the women I date. You had to have the right body figure, and the right shape face, medium or long hair, nails done, feet done, you basically had to be that type of woman where you valued your self worth. Now I aint perfect, I have beyond the nature of sin, and I thank God for his mercy and grace for keeping me because they I viewed relationships was very simple and not something valued like I do today. Like the bible says, “when I was a child I acted like one, but when I became a man I put away childish things.”
When they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder, that means you need to look in the mirror and say ”I AM BEAUTIFUL.” I have always encouraged women to think high of themselves. “how you view yourself is how others will view you which will then lead to how they treat you and what you accept.”
So now being saved and learning more about self perseverance and virtue and loyalty to ones self and a person is one the “INSIDE,” my decisions become more valuable to me now. God knows what you need and what you desire even when you “think” you know what you want.

God has blessed me with a mighty woman of God who has everything I need and want in a woman. Yes she is light skinned, very beautiful, medium hair, brown eyes, and well shaped. The reason I’m telling you this is because God has shown me who I deserve and gaven me a desire beyond my understanding. She is very analytic, smart, bubbly, loves God with her whole heart, only wants to achieve and be the best, loves to make me happy keep me happy, desires to have a soul mate to do ministry with, has a bright personality and sense of humor….i could go on all day, but the point of it all is that God gave me more than what I ever dreamed, and its NOW, at age 22, that I step back and say this is my dream woman, and how I pictured the perfect woman for me.
